The Wall Street Journal is the trusted news source for students. The Journal's accuracy and objective reporting of current events is crucial to education. The Journal's student news readership program makes it easy to get students involved in current events. Students can also subscribe to respected news sources at a very affordable price.

Student news readership program

The Wall Street Journal student news readership program is aimed at young people who are interested in reading the paper's articles and reporting. The newspaper's sister publications include Barron's, Far Eastern Economic Review, and SmartMoney. Students interested in being a member of the student readership can sign up to a one-year subscription for $15 per year.

The program is sponsored by the Student Affairs budget and provides students with digital subscriptions to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. The new subscription program also includes videos and podcasts. The program now includes the Commonwealth campuses. For the next academic year, the printed newspaper will be available but will eventually become entirely digital.

Alumni and students at UT Permian Basin are eligible to take advantage of a Wall Street Journal member-only membership. Students will receive this subscription when they create their UTPB email addresses. The College of Business, J. Conrad Dungan Library are responsible for the subscription.

The conference will include speakers from the industry such as Mitch Mamoulides who is the Midland and Delaware Basin Area Manager for Chevron, Chuck Yates, managing Director of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors LP and Jefferson G. Parker who is managing director at IberiaBank Corp. John Fund, a member on the Wall Street Journal Editorial Board will also be present at the conference. Travis Stice of Diamondback Energy is also a speaker; Kyle M. Hammond of FireWheel Energy is the CEO; Bryan Sheffield of Parsley Energy is Parsley Energy's director of NGL analyses at AES water Solutions; Stan Weiner of Stan Weiner will be there.

UT Permian Basin academic partnerships program with Wall Street Journal

The UT Permian Basin is pleased to announce its partnership agreement with Wall Street Journal. Students at UTPB will be able to subscribe to the Wall Street Journal exclusively once they have received their UTPB email address. This partnership is made possible through the College of Business and the J. Conrad Dungan Library.

The partnership will be beneficial to students, nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals. The partnership will enable nursing students to learn advanced techniques as well as new medical equipment. Combining two major healthcare organizations allows students to gain real-world experiences in a new and dynamic setting.
